Esters (35-60%)- methyl anthranilate (1-2%), benzyl acetate (65-87%),

benzyl benzoate (14-21%)

Diterpenes (9-18%) – phytol (6-12%), isophytol (3-7%)

Alcohols (4-8%)- linalool (4-8%)

Cautions / Safety Data

Not to be used during pregnancy. Do not use on the skin full strength. Always dilute in appropriate carriers before use. Not for internal use. If pregnant or suffering from serious medical conditions, consult a qualified health professional, experienced in the use of essential oils.

Useful Information

The cost of Jasmine essential oil is high due to the enormous amounts of flowers needed to extract a small amount of oil and limited harvesting time.  Coupled with the fact that the extraction method of enfleurage is so labour intensive, petals must be harvested at night when the aroma is most powerful.The two varieties of Jasmine plants and oils are Jasmine Officinal and Jasmine Grandiflorum.
