Useful Information

A relative newcomer to the world of essential oils.  The first known distillation and extraction of the oil was in Dalmatia in 1908.  The plant itself has dark yellow flowers, with silver and green pepper scented leaves.  Extraction occurs from the “everlasting” flowers, which are a common flower used in floral arrangements in Europe.

Also referred to as Italian Everlasting or French Immortelle.

Extensive studies have been conducted by Dr. Penoel on Immortelle healing properties associated with the skin.

What does 10 mean%? We carry certain precious oils (Oakmoss, Jasmine, Neroli and Rose Absolute for example) in a diluted 10% version. For an oil to be precious it means that it is very difficult – and expensive – to extract and produce. For example, Rose must be cultivated at dawn and is processed immediately to obtain the maximum yield of oil. It is one of the highest priced oils to obtain due to the substantial number of petals required to produce a relatively small amount of oil. Precious oils are also very potent, and only really needed pure if you are doing something such as making perfume. We provide a 10% dilution of our precious oils to keep them accessible and affordable. We carry all of our precious oils pure along with their more affordable 10% dilution. We dilute all of our 10% essential oils in fractionated coconut oil.  It is the best choice as it is light, has no odour, and will not oxidize essential oils in the mix.  Clear jojoba oil can be used but it is approximately 3 times the price.
