Storage: Protect from direct light and heat. Due to high amounts of GLA’s refrigeration or cool place below 50F is recommended.
Shelf life: 24 months from the date of manufacture.

The flower (arial part) produced by the evening primrose plant contains high levels of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), an essential omega-6 fatty acid plus linoleic, phenolic acid and flavonoids. These valuable compounds provide a wealth of medicinal properties. While Evening primrose has been widely used to alleviate symptoms associated with premenstrual syndrome (PMS), menopause, inflammation, and skin conditions such as eczema, it’s effects on the general health of the skin are quite remarkable.
Reputed benefits for the skin include anti-inflammatory properties, which aids healing process for eczema, contact dermatitis, rosacea and the discomfort which accompany these conditions
Presence of gamma-linolenic acid acts as an emollient which supports the skin to maintain moisture and reduce TEWL (trans epidermal water loss)
Soothing, softening effect on skin approves overall appearance and slows aging process
Protection from aging, free radicals and other environmental stressors due to significant presence of Phenolic acids such as quercetin pentoside, gallic acid and valoneic acid.
Directions for Use
Serums (oil soluble): 0.5 – 5 % into oil soluble formulas and solutions
Creams, Lotions: Mix 1 – 5% into a plant based cream or lotion. For added benefits and nourishment, add small amounts of our other popular nurturing oils such as calendula, rosehip, pomegranate, or carrot tissue.
Not recommended to be added to heat phase of formulation. Add at coolest possible phase of mixture or non heated serums.
This product is for external use only in topical cosmetic & personal care formulations.
